It’s exactly one year since BlueWave Labs has been born. We are fortunate enough to build an ecosystem where developers can get a lot of experience, with the help of learning by building hands-on, open source products. We have been working on several projects and fortunate enough to see a lot of great developers start working for other companies.
Lately, as the team enlarged (currently 33) we started to more projects: LangRoute and RockScraper, focusing on AI and LLMs.
- LangRoute is a robust and configurable LLM proxy server built with Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL. It acts as an intermediary between your applications and various Large Language Model (LLM) providers.
- RockScraper is an AI and DePIN powered Scraper which can benefit from hundreds of thousands of nodes at the same time to crawl and scrape web content.
Both projects are quite innovative in terms of what they bring on the table. Some of the functionalities of LangRoute will be:
- Unified API: Allows switching between LLM providers without changing your code.
- Model routing: Enables fallback and load balancing across multiple models.
- Local & cloud models: Supports both API-based models (like OpenAI, Google Gemini) and local models (like Ollama, Llama.cpp).
- Cost tracking: Logs API usage costs for better budget management.
- Proxy & caching: Can be used as a proxy to manage LLM requests and cache responses.
Similarly, RockScraper is not just a scraping platform. It’ll benefit from DePIN networks, particularly UpRock’s platform, to benefit from large scale data collection and then run any questions on this data using AI.
We are very excited with what we will bring to the open source and AI world with LangRoute and RockScraper.
